Caruana and Carlsen in play during game 9. | https://tv.nrk.no/direkte/nrk1
Magnus Carlsen finally got a promising position with white in game 9 of his match against Fabiano Caruana. Carlsen found a tricky position in the English that hadn't been investigated by his opponent and after the pragmatic 17...Bxf3 Caruana would have expected a long defence. The position was far from winning but after Carlsen's 25. h5?! Caruana found 25...gxh5 26. Qc4 f5! and the position was again about equal -the game was drawn in 56 moves.
Score Carlsen 4.5 Caruana 4.5 just three games to go, any error now will be very serious.
