Caruana edges out Kramnik in Zuerich Opening Blitz

The Zuerich Chess Challenge started with a blitz tournament in the opening ceremony on 22nd Feb. This event certainly took me by surprise and I couldn't find any information such as time control The time control was 4m+2spm and the whole event was broadcast live with video at the last minute. Fabiano Caruana won with 5/6 a point clear of Viadimir Kramnik. Gelfand and Anand were way back on 1.5/6. Games and table available below. Play in the main event starts Saturday 23rd at 2pm GMT. Round 1 Kramnik - Gelfand, Caruana - Anand. Korchnoi attended the opening ceremony. chessnews.ru was the only place to find these last two pieces of info.
