Zuerich Chess Club 200th Anniversay Jubilee

The Zuerich Chess Club 200th Anniversay Jubilee started with an open tournament 9th-15th August 2009. Alexander Morozevich, Evgeny Miroshnichenko, Pentala Harikrishna, Emil Sutovsky etc played for a prize fund of CHF 100.000 guaranteed prize money and many other attractive prizes. The open tournament was the Alois Nagler Memorial. The leaders on 6.5 points played in the final round. Alexander Morozevich was beaten by Boris Avrukh and Yuriy Kuzubov beaten by Alexander Areshchenko. Areshchenko took the title with a superior tie-break.
