The Yuri Razuvaev Memorial commemorated the life of the Russian GM and trainer who died in 2012 at the age of 66. The Russian Chess Federation organised this online tournament which was hosted by Chess.com. The event is an online blitz (5 minutes + 3 seconds a move) with 8 players: Ian Nepomniachtchi, Vladimir Kramnik, Evgeny Tomashevsky, Boris Gelfand, Joel Lautier, Alexander Motylev, Mikhail Kobalia and Vladimir Potkin. The format was a Single Round Robin (start 1pm GMT) followed by a final between the top two finishers (4pm GMT). Evgeny Tomashevsky won the preliminary section with 6/7 with Vladimir Kramnik finishing second on tie-break from Ian Nepomniachtchi. Kramnik won the first blitz game and drew the second which finished in a huge time scramble where Tomashevsky missed at least one win.
