The Thanksgiving Open in Saint Louis took place 26th-28th November in a field including Nigel Short. Rather surprisingly for an organisation that has done so well in covering the US Championships the coverage of this event was pathetic with only a set of pairings for round 3 as an update all weekend followed by final standings and a short report the day after, no games seem to be available. Today Garry Kasparov and Short attend a special event at the chess club.
