The FIDE Women Candidates Pool A took place in Monaco 24th October to 6th November, 4 players, two rounds, the winner plays the winner of pool B which it's been announced will take place in Khiva, in Uzbekistan November 28 to December 11 (players: Aleksandra Goryachkina, Alexandra Kosteniuk, Tan Zhongyi and Kateryna Lagno). The players in Monaco were Mariya Muzychuk, Tingjie Lei, Humpy Koneru and Anna Muzychuk. Tingjie Lei beat Anna Muzychuk in the final.
