The Czech Coal Match held its traditional "Snowdrops (women's team) vs Old Hands Veterans" match 20th-27th November. The women's team won the first day 3-1 but the Veterans levelled things up by winning by the same score on day 2. In the 3rd round the women won 3.5-0.5.The fourth round saw the first wins for black as the Snowdrops won 2.5-1.5. The 5th and 6th rounds were drawn 2-2 with all games decisive. In Round 7 the Snowdrops won 3-1. In the Final Round 7 the Veterans won 3-1. The Snowdrops won 18-14.
