The Commonwealth Championships was part of the South African Open in Ekurhuleni in the region of Gauteng. Gawain Jones edged out Nigel Short on tie-break after both finished on 9.5/11. Graham Jurgensen Convenor – 2011 Commonwealth Chess Championships has released a vastly improved final version of the game file.
