The chess.com Junior Speed Chess took place 16th May to 10th/11th August. Wei Yi beat Jeffery Xiong in the final on August 10th (11th for Wei Yi due to different time zones) by virtue of drawing a final Armageddon game. The regular match was drawn and they shared two wins apiece in the bullet overtime. Wei Yi qualifies for the regular Speed Chess tournament now.
