The Bundesliga 2021-22 season took place Sat 5th Mar to Sun 10th Jul 2022. This accelerated German Bundesliga season lasted only four months. There were 16 teams and Baden Baden won the title again winning all their matches. The had to defeat SC Viernheim in Round 14 who were at that stage leading on board count and had also won all their matches up to that point. Viernheim drew their final match too and were clear second.
