The Kings tournament in Bucharest started with two hard fought games on Wednesday 7th November 2012. Vassily Ivanchuk ground down Liviu-Dieter Nisipeanu in a Nimzo-Indian where he gradually picked up pawns until he had a decisive advantage. Veselin Topalov against Fabiano Caruana was a hard fought draw in a Gruenfeld sideline via and English move order. Topalov was the one pressing at one point. Round 2 8th Nov 2012 13:30pm Caruana-Nisipeanu and Topalov-Ivanchuk.
