Leon Chess 6th-8th July with Wesley So, Vallejo, Jaime Santos and R Praggnanandhaa. So beat the Indian wonderkind Praggnanandhaa 2.5-1.5 but only after losing the first game and being in serious difficulties in the second. Vallejo beat Santos in a blitz tie-break 1.5-0.5on Saturday. In the final Wesley So retained his title beating Vallejo 2-0 in a blitz tie-break after a 2-2 draw in the rapid games.
