The SuperUnited Rapid & Blitz, part of the Grand Chess Tour, took place in Zagreb Wed 5th to Mon 10th July 2023. The final results came from a combination of the scores in Rapid and Bltiz. Magnus Carlsen finished 3rd in the Rapid half a point behind Fabiano Caruana and Ian Nepomniachtchi. Carlsen then proceeded to score 9/9 on the first day of the blitz, he was then held to two draws before winning four more which decided the event. A couple of losses after the event was decided didn't take the gloss off a dominant performance. Final Standings: 1st Carlsen 26pts, 2nd Nepomniachtchi 22½pts, 3rd Firouzja 22pts, 4th Caruana 21½pts, 5th Gukesh D 19½pts, 6th Rapport 19pts, 7th Anand 16½pts, 7th Duda 16½pts, 9th Saric 12pts, 10th Lupulescu 4½pts.
