Hou Yifan moved a point clear of the field in the third round of the Rostov-on-Don FIDE Women's Grand Prix with a third consecutive win. This time she won as black against Alexandra Kosteniuk. Anna Muzychuk just bulldozed Kateryna Lahno in a Scotch and Nadezhda Kosintseva took a quick draw against her sister Tatiana. Nadezhda and Muzychuk are a point behind the leader. Elo favourite Humpy Koneru scored her first win, a bit of a grind against Ruan Lufei. Brief report follows.

Hou Yifan won yet again, and with black, against Alexandra Kosteniuk again she made her move towards the first time control.

Elina Danielian won on the run up to first time control,Ekaterina Kovalevskaya's position went down hill rapidly following her decision to swap light squared bishops off.

The sisters Nadezhda and Tatiana Kosintseva took a quick draw against each other.
Alisa Galliamova recovered from her dreadful start with a nice finish against Antoaneta Stefanova. Black can fight in the position below with 23...f5 but Stefanova missed that she is just getting mated if she doesn't take this preventative action.
