My thanks to Doru Ionescu, Dario Mione, Tomas Dvorak, Mikel Larreategi, Miklos Orso, Maxim Dlugy, Efstratios Grivas, Dimitris Skyrianoglou, Aggelos Tzermiadianos, Adolivio Capece, Matthias Karkowski, Evgeny Tkachev, Vlad Rekhson and everyone else who helped with the issue.
Well if Kramnik had a good rapid result last week, this one wasn't so good. He went straight from his match against world number 8 Peter Leko to take on Levon Aronian in Yerevan. After a great start with a nice win in a Ruy Lopez Marshall Kramnik then lost three games in a row from which he couldn't recover as the final two games were drawn. If anything the Russian Team Championship was an even bigger event with many of the world's best playing. Also of interest is the Baku Chess Festival with a smattering of top players including Nigel Short, Vadim Milov and Loek Van Wely. Lots of good stuff.
Hope you enjoy this issue.
