Veselin Topalov won a clock simul against the top juniors of Austria, Hungary, Slovakia and the Czech Republic 5:3. The Bulgarian conceded defeats in two King's Indians against his strongest opponent, Richard Rapport, and his youngest opponent, Martin Christian Huber, who is only 13. The clock match was part of the Vienna Children Chess Festival which was held at the Albertina, a museum, together with a strategy seminar on chess in schools. Experts from eight countries discussed how to translate the European Parliament's support into concrete funding and support on the national, regional and local level. News: Stefan Loeffler.
