The FIDE Grand Prix Beijing took place 4th to 16th July 2013. Shakhriyar Mamedyarov won the event with 7/11 half a point clear of Alexander Grischuk. Mamedyarov moves second in the Grand Prix and if my calculations are correct only a Caruana or Grischuk win in the final Grand Prix (venue formerly Paris but now not known) can deny him a Candidates place. Veselin Topalov's final round win gave him a share of third place which means victory in the series and that he is the first qualifier for the 2014 Candidates.

ChessVibes has recalculated the FIDE Grand Prix Standings after five rounds.
