8th Gyorgy Marx Memorial 2010

The 8th Gyorgy Marx Memorial took place 5th-16th August, 2010. Viktor Laznicka dominated finishing with 8/10 two and a half points clear of the field. Zoltan Almasi was defeated by Jan Timman in the final Round allowing Ferenc Berkes to take second with a better tie-break after both finished on 5.5/10. Timman generally struggled as did US Junior Ray Robson.

Former Women's World Champion Nona Gaprindashvili and Tatiana Kononenko finished with 6.5/10 in the women's event.
