The 27th European Club Cup (and 16th for women) took place in Rogaska Slatina 24th September - 2nd October 2011. The 7 round event included many of the world's leading players including three of the final four in the World Cup. Players include: Ponomariov, Grischuk, Radjabov, Gelfand, Mamedyarov, Svidler, Adams, Wang Hao, Vitiugov, Moiseenko, Giri, Nepomniachtchi etc. The event was a real festival (the White Rose team contains players I know and compete against) with 65 men's teams and 12 women's (Hou Yifan and Anna Muzychuk play for the top seeds Monte-Carlo) St Petersburg took first place after beating Mika 3.5-2.5. Favourites Socar beat OSG Baden-Baden to take second. Final Standings are complete and games from all but the lower boards of the final round of the men's are now available.
