Wesley So, Anish Giri and Hans Tikkanen lead on 1.5 points after second round of the 19th Sigeman & Co tournament in Malmo. Wesley So beat Alexei Shirov in a Slav where he got a good dark squared bishop against Shirov's poor light squared one and made it count. Giri beat Grandelius where the latter's position seemed quite satisfactory out of the opening (23...f5 maybe) but went downhill pretty fast shortly afterwards. Hector and Tikkanen played a lengthy Sicilian that finished in a mildly interesting rook and pawn ending.
